‘Mike Grell: Life Is Drawing Without An Eraser’ Hits a Bullseye

Writer and artist, Mike Grell is a legend in the comic book industry.

From work on Legion of Superheroes in the 1970’s to an infamous run on the monthly Warlord title through the late 70’s and mid-1980’s and the critically acclaimed Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters three-issue miniseries in 1987 (a series that still inspires creators today as seen in the successful Arrow television series) and a host of creator-owned titles, Grell certainly has stature in the industry.

Written by Dewey Cassell with Jeff Messer, Mike Grell: Life Is Drawing Without An Eraser is a 160-page retrospective on the career of a man who made an artistic difference in an industry that was seeing unprecedented change. Published by TwoMorrows Publishing, it’s an historic look at Grell, his work and the times and places he worked within.
