Robert E. Howard’s famous Cimmerian creation, Conan the Barbarian, is experiencing a bit of a renaissance this year within the Marvel Comics publishing house – a place famous for Conan comics! A new Conan The Barbarian monthly series made it’s debut at the beginning of this year.

That said, the more euro-centric magazine-sized, black and white, Savage Sword of Conan, was first published in 1974 and lasted until the mid 1990’s. That’s longevity! Today, a new iteration of Savage Sword of Conan hits the comic book shelves with a brand new #1! Written by Gerry Duggan, finely illustrated by Ron Garney and lavishly coloured by Richard Isanove, the Conan is a pulpy, sword-to-your-throat must-read!
