Archie and the Riverdale High gang was created in 1941 – so it might be no surprise that celebrated comic book writers, Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn along with illustrator Peter Krause have brought the popular character back to his time-honoured roots in Archie 1941, a five issue miniseries, published by Archie Comics. What is surprising, however, is that this story sees the  teen gang juggle dating and school and Model T’s and ice cream sodas amidst the backdrop of conscription-era U.S.A.

And there’s a World War brewing…
